Christy and Victor Mascarenas (Mascarenas Family Organic Farm) farm 40 acres outside of Questo, NM. They grow wheat, mixed vegetables and garlic. Their markets are an organic wheat co-op which mills the wheat into flour for sale to retail groceries, restaurants and bakeries. The vegetables and garlic are sold from the farm and to restaurants. They are located at an altitude of 7000 - 8000 ft. |

Helen Deutsch (El Rancho Organics) farms one acre outside of Sante Fe, NM. She grows mixed vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs. Her main market is the farmers' market. She is located at an altitude of 6000 - 7000 ft. |

Colleen and Fred Hinker (Spirit Haven Organic Ranch) farm 65 acres outside Santa Rosa, NM. They produce hay, chile and mixed vegetables. They sell the hay to a neighboring rancher and sell the vegetables and chile at farmers' markets and to restaurants. They are located at an altitude of 4000 - 5000 feet. |

No Cattle Co, in Hanover, NM, at 5000 - 6000 ft. Sharlene Alexander and Michael Grunerud have 14 acres. They grow vegetables and cut flowers for farmers markets, bedding plants for the public in their greenhouses, and apples and other tree fruits wholesale. They also make herbal soaps, hand painted gourds, and dried flower wreaths and framed dried flower pictures. |

The OASIS Operation is at ~ 3900 ft. Conditionally certified. The have 2/3 acre and sell memberships in a CSA. The project is on the NMSU campus, and students work on the projects in a class during spring and fall semester, and are hired in the summer. The project is named OASIS: Organic Agriculture Students Inspiring Sustainability. |
